Awesome. I've been using it for 8 months now and I've got it sharpened twice, still fits and feels like it's brand new. Easy to clean and doesn't stick to any food at all! Super!
Great knife, razor sharp out of the box. I own a few slightly pricier knives and this cuts as well as any of them, the thin blade makes it much better at cutting vegetables than a thicker German style knife. Only drawback I've found is that it is a little on the light side for my liking, but can't fault the blade at all. I can't speak for how well it holds an edge long term as I've only bought this recently but two weeks in (daily use) and I've had no trouble whatsoever.
If you intend to keep this knife for a long time, I'd suggest sharpening it and being VERY CAREFUL - when they say this Santoku is razor sharp, they mean it.
We received the three knives and they are as advertised. We have enjoyed using them since we received them a month ago.
These santoku knives were recommended to me by a Seattle chef and they are incredible. I look forward to all my prep work as they are a joy to use. The handles are perfect, so comfortable.
All in all not a bad knife, I have about 6 Vie Belles knives now, as generally they represent an excellent value for money. Especially the 8-inch chef's knife which to this day I prefer over any global or shun blade. A perfect utilitarian knife with just the right amount of weight.
I purchased several santoku knives as a gift for myself and my wife - we both love to cook . It’s only been a couple of months but we use them almost every day and the knives are excellent. They are razor-sharp but I highly recommend you order the professional sharpening system for keeping them that way. I’ve used many different knife sets over my life and this seems to be by far the best knife I've ever encountered.
